David Recht – Director - David, born in Berkley California grew up in the bay area and moved to Oregon pursuing an Engineering degree and eventually settled in Portland. After spending the bulk of the last 20 years studying metaphysics, alternative healing and free energy, he began his formal training within the Ancient Mystery Schools in the Spring of 2003. Through these years of persistent study, David has mastered many types of esoteric energy work and now finds himself deep into ‘the doing’ of the work. After dreaming of the Crystal Temple for the past 20 years it has grown, evolved and gradually precipitated into the physical. It has taken dedication, sacrifice and persistence to bring forth this wonderful light center into the world and truly feeds his heart to bring support to those who walk through the doors of this space. david@crystaltemple.org |

Jennette Kienholz
- Adept - Teaches Tribal Bellydance in the
Movement Studio and dance activities in regards to Temple Festivities.
Dance Biography: Jennette Kienholz was raised to appreciate all
art forms. She favors
Tribal Bellydance as her form of creative expression and spiritual
growth.
Trained in classical ballet as a child, she became familiar with the
satisfaction of a strong, disciplined body and the pure joy of moving
with music.
“I remember how grounded and secure I felt
when I danced.” This
was a valuable experience for a young girl growing up in a turbulent
world. Over the years
Jennette found dance, in many different forms, to be a potent
prescription for personal healing, power and inspiration.
In 1990 she stumbled across Tribal Bellydance taught by Carolena Nerrico
in San Francisco.
“It wasn’t long before I became ‘addicted’ to the dance.”
She studied for three years with Carolena before moving
with her family to Portland, Oregon.
“Knowing I could continue studying
this style definitely influenced my decision to relocate to Portland.
I really couldn’t imagine living my life without this dance
style.”
A student of Paulette Rees-Denis’ since 1995, she began
performing with Gypsy Caravan in 1996 and started teaching a year later.
“Transitioning from student to teacher was a golden opportunity
for me, ……thanks to Paulette.”
She says Paulette made teaching look easy, but she now
understands and values the high level of commitment and energy required
to excel as a teacher.
In Spring of 2008 Jennette was encouraged to teach Bellydance classes at
The Crystal Temple in the St. John’s neighborhood.
Considering it a great
honor to return this dance to its sacred origins, the promise was made.
“We believe that this dance originated in the ancient temples before
Time. The Spiritual aspect
of this art form has been obscured and nearly lost over the Ages.
Every ancient culture had some form of music and dance that was,
and is used today, to release negativity, provide healing and
connect with the Divine.
She says,
“Dancing together generates great enthusiasm and joy and the
Crystal Temple is a perfect match! Here in the sanctity of the Temple we
can allow our Divine Feminine nature to blossom and expand.
In every class we feel the Gods and Goddesses smiling down upon
us!”
So be it!
Jennette also offers Reconnective™ Healing Sessions and
nutritional education classes.
